  • Definition: A custom slide show allows you to select specific slides from a full presentation to create a tailored viewing experience for different audiences.
  • How to Create a Custom Slide Show:
    • Open your PowerPoint presentation.
    • Go to the Slide Show tab.
    • Click on Custom Slide Show in the Set Up group.
    • Select Custom Shows, then click New.
    • Choose the slides you want to include and click Add.
    • Name your custom show and click OK.
    • You can access the custom slide show from the Slide Show tab.

2. Using Presenter View

  • Definition: Presenter View is a feature that allows the presenter to see notes and upcoming slides while the audience sees only the current slide.
  • How to Use Presenter View:
    • Connect your computer to a projector or external display.
    • Start the slide show by clicking on From Beginning or From Current Slide.
    • If your setup supports Presenter View, PowerPoint will automatically switch to it.
    • Presenter View displays:
      • Current slide
      • Next slide
      • Speaker notes
      • Timer
      • Slide navigation

  • How to Create a Self-Running Presentation:
    • Go to the Slide Show tab.
    • Click on Set Up Slide Show.
    • Under Show Options, select Browsed at a kiosk (full screen).
    • Set timings for each slide (via the Transitions tab) if you want them to advance automatically.
    • Ensure that your presentation ends with a looping slide or concludes appropriately.

    • Museum exhibits.
    • Automated tutorials.

Create a Self-Running Presentation with Custom Timings and Loop Settings

Task Instructions:

  1. Select a Topic: Choose a topic relevant to your course (e.g., Business Strategy, Marketing Trends).
  2. Create Slides: Develop a presentation with at least 8 slides covering key points on your chosen topic.
  3. Set Custom Timings:
    • Go to the Transitions tab.
