Assignment 1: Formatting a Student Score Sheet

Objective: Apply cell formatting to enhance readability.

Instructions:

  1. Create a new workbook and name it Student_Scores.xlsx.
  2. In Sheet1, enter the following data:
    • A1: Student Name, B1: Subject, C1: Score
    • A2 to A6: Enter five student names.
    • B2 to B6: Enter subjects (e.g., Math, Science, English).
    • C2 to C6: Enter corresponding scores.
  3. Apply the following formatting:
    • Bold the headers (A1 to C1).
    • Change the font color of the headers to blue.
    • Apply a border around the entire table.
    • Change the font size of the data rows to 12.
  4. Save the workbook.

Assignment 2: Aligning Text and Applying Cell Styles

Objective: Practice text alignment and using cell styles.

Instructions:

  1. Open a new workbook and name it Employee_List.xlsx.
  2. In Sheet1, create the following columns:
    • A1: Employee Name, B1: Department, C1: Salary
    • A2 to A6: Enter names of five employees.
    • B2 to B6: Enter their respective departments.

    • Change the Restock Date column to display dates in Short Date format.
