Assignment 1: Insert Audio Clip with Playback Control

Objective:
Insert an audio clip into a PowerPoint presentation and adjust the playback settings.

Instructions:

  1. Open a new PowerPoint presentation.
  2. On the first slide, insert an audio file from your computer.
  3. Set the audio to play automatically when the slide appears.
  4. Ensure the audio loops until stopped.
  5. Hide the audio icon during the slideshow.

Solution:

  1. Open PowerPoint and insert an audio file:
    • Go to the Insert tab → AudioAudio on My PC.
    • Browse and select your audio file.
  2. Adjust playback settings:
    • Select the audio icon and go to the Playback tab.
    • Under Start, choose Automatically.
    • Check the Loop until Stopped box.
    • Check the Hide During Show option.
  3. Preview the slideshow, and the audio will play automatically, loop continuously, and the icon will be hidden during the presentation.

Assignment 2: Add Video Clip with Playback and Resize

Objective:
Insert a video into a slide and modify its size.

Instructions:

  1. Create a new PowerPoint slide.
  2. Insert a video file from your computer.
  3. Set the video to play on click.
  4. Resize the video to make it smaller and fit neatly on the slide.

Solution:

  1. Open PowerPoint and add a video:
    • Go to the Insert tab → VideoVideo on My PC.
    • Select the desired video file.
  2. Set playback settings:
    • Click the video and navigate to the Playback tab.
    • Under Start, select On Click.
  3. Resize the video:
    • Click on the video and use the corner handles to resize proportionally.
    • Ensure the video fits within the slide's layout, maintaining a clear visual.

Assignment 3: Insert Audio and Video with Custom Playback

Objective:
Create a presentation with both audio and video files, with customized playback settings for each.

Instructions:

  1. Create a PowerPoint presentation with two slides:
    • Slide 1: Insert an audio file.
    • Slide 2: Insert a video file.
  2. For the audio file:
    • Set it to play when clicked.
  3. For the video file:
    • Set it to play automatically.
    • Crop the video to remove unnecessary parts.

Solution:

  1. Slide 1: Insert Audio:
    • Go to InsertAudioAudio on My PC and select the file.
    • Select the audio icon and navigate to the Playback tab.
    • Under Start, choose On Click.
  2. Slide 2: Insert Video:
    • Go to InsertVideoVideo on My PC and select the file.
    • Click the video, then go to the Playback tab.
    • Under Start, choose Automatically.
  3. Crop the video:
    • Click the video, go to Video FormatCrop.
    • Adjust the cropping handles to focus on the main content, then press Enter.

Assignment 4: Multimedia Presentation on a Topic

Objective:
Create a 3-slide presentation on a topic of your choice, incorporating both audio and video.

Instructions:

  1. Choose a topic for a simple presentation (e.g., company introduction, event overview).
  2. Slide 1: Insert an audio file (background music or narration).
    • Set the audio to loop and play automatically.
  3. Slide 2: Insert a video file related to your topic.
    • Set the video to play when clicked.
  4. Slide 3: Insert both audio and video.
    • Set both to start automatically when the slide appears.

Solution:

  1. Slide 1: Insert Audio:
    • Go to InsertAudioAudio on My PC, select the file, and set playback to Automatically with Loop enabled.
  2. Slide 2: Insert Video:
    • Go to InsertVideoVideo on My PC, select the video, and set playback to On Click.
  3. Slide 3: Insert Both Audio and Video:
    • Insert both an audio and video file on the same slide.
    • Set both to play Automatically when the slide appears (adjust playback settings under the Playback tab).

Assignment 5: Create a Multimedia Timeline

Objective:
Create a multimedia timeline presentation with both audio narration and video clips.

Instructions:

  1. Choose a historical event or business process.
  2. Slide 1: Insert an audio narration introducing the topic.
    • Set the audio to play automatically.
  3. Slide 2: Add a video related to the event/process.
    • Set the video to play when clicked.
  4. Slide 3: Add another audio clip summarizing the topic.
    • Set it to play automatically when the slide appears.

Solution:

  1. Slide 1: Insert Audio Narration:
    • Record or add an audio file by going to InsertAudioRecord Audio or Audio on My PC.
    • Set playback to Automatically under the Playback tab.
  2. Slide 2: Add Video:
    • Insert a video by going to InsertVideoVideo on My PC.
    • Set it to play On Click in the Playback tab.
  3. Slide 3: Add Audio Summary:
    • Insert another audio file with a summary of the topic.
    • Set it to play Automatically when the slide appears.
